Note: Lovely with good weather, a couple of places where to drink water on the path (one is in Saiano)

Note: 3-4km flat, there are 4km of strong up-hill. Near the top the view is really nice. Once on a main road turn left direction Sorrivoli but after 1-2km turn again left to Saiano. Very lovely and up-down hill for a few kilometer. Then a long single up hill, about 1km and then almost all down again to Cesena (Ponte Abbadesse). Really lovely, the view and usually very few cars on the street.

Note: nice view on the flat ground and the sea side. First 10% flat, 30% strong up hill, then a mix of up/down hill. Last 10km nearly flat. Very wonderful view of the flat ground, up to the sea side if is a nice day, very few cars in all the hills. A few way back in case of problems they help to chose for a shorter one in case of problems. At least one point for Water in Sorrivoli, a bit after km 16, look in the main (indeed small, but for Sorrivoli main) square. On the right hand side if running from Diolaguardia to Sorrivoli.

Note: nice path, between trees on the hills, a few cars that are used to runners and walkers. Is a known path in Cesena. Very nice for medium Intervals

Note: nice for intervals, 1km nearly flat (probably around +5 then -5 meters). Half way is at the very beginning of the small part on the concrete. Easy to stop after 500meters and return to start in 50meters.

Cesena: Ponte Abbadesse-Diolaguardia-Saiano-Gelsi Piccoli-Ponte Abbadesse

Ran 9 July 2006 around 5pm: Una new entry nei miei percorsi, anche se e’ sempre uno dei percorsi sulle colline attorno a Ponte Abbadesse. Si parte ovviamente da Ponte Abbadesse, su verso Diolaguardia dalla parte dei Cappuccini. Fino a Diolaguardia sono tanti saliscendi, tendenzialmente il salita. E’ un po’ caldino, ma alle 8 c’e’ la finale dei campionati del mondo, quindi la partenza deve essere adeguatamente in anticipo. La scalata la faccio senza spingere troppo, con il giusto ritmo, i saliscendi aiutano nel lavoro di spinta in salita e recupero in discesa. Arrivato a Diolaguardia svolta a sinistra (ricordavo una fontanella a Diolaguarda, ma non l’ho trovata, dove l’hanno nascosta cavolo) e dritto fino a meno di 2 kilometri da Sorrivoli dove si svolta per Saiano. Qui una parte particolarmente “gradevole”, molte svolte, molta ombra e tutti saliscendi. Superdiscesa seguita da supersalita a Saiana, accompagnate da pausa fontana. Poi giu’ da Saiano verso Cesena, gelsi grandi, gelsi piccoli, via padre Genocchi e chiudo il cerchi all’inizio di Ponte Abbadesse. Bel giro che diventa impegnativo se si vuole tenere un bel ritmo, io l’ho fatto senza esagerare. Purtroppo mi si e’ bloccato il cronometro involontariamente al bivio dei Gelsi piccoli (a 1h27′ di cui 5′ bra streching e pausa fontana). Credo che il finale sia stato di 1h37′, di cui appunto 1h32′ corsi. Google pedometer da 21.096km, ma a me sono parsi qualche cosina di piu, sicuramente ho limato un po troppo alcune curve nel disegnare il percorso che dovrebbe essere sui 21.5-22km. Ottimo giro, da fare magari quando e’ un po meno caldo :)
